Any suggestions on where to buy a good fitting t-shirt? I'm not one
for clothes shopping, but I've shopped around for t-shirts off the
shelf at the usual retail stores - M&S, Next bla but they assume a
46-48 inch chest and wide shoulders means fatty lats and gut. Usual
story.

Always.

A very frustrating experience though.

It would be nice to have a frustrating experience like that though, not
something to complain about. :)

True. As my mrs tells me, it was my choice to be this shape.

I find that shirts (as in, nice crisp white work shirts) tend to be
rubbish like this... stupid billowy mid-sections that resemble
petticoats.

Absolutely. I work in an office and recently I needed to buy new work
shirts. I shopped around and had the same problem. Large neck and
chest size assume fatty lats and gut, i.e., lots of material underneath
arms and around stomach. Eventually I bought a few of the 'slim' fit
shirts available from Next - these cater for a muscular body though
they're limited in colour (white and pink) and they cost £20 each.

I need to. What's the going rate for a tailored shirt?

Made to measure shirts tend to start at around £60, though more in London.
